Residential Supports

In our society today a majority of children leave their parents’ home and move out on their own. This milestone is no different for people who have a disability; however they may require some assistance to reach their goal.

It is the intent of Residential Support Services to provide this assistance while offering a choice of living environments based on the needs and desires of each person. Emphasis is placed on assisting people to learn to be as independent as possible in all aspects of their home life. The following specific support programs are available:

The Intermediate Care Homes consist of two homes with up to eight people residing in each. These homes provide 24 hour staff support.

The Transitional Care Living Homes consist of three homes, with up to eight people residing in each. These homes provide 24 hour staff support as well.

The Individualized Supported Living Arrangements consist of apartments and homes within the community. The amount of staff support in each depends on the needs of the people who reside there, up to 24 hours.
